When life is hard, we show up
How we help
Financial assistance
Support from the welfare fund for approved claims.
Community mobilisation
Members rallying around a family with practical help.
Referrals
Connecting families with relevant organisations and support services.
Liaison
Working with relevant authorities where required.
Applying for support
-
Apply
Members submit a welfare application in the Member Portal, for themselves or a registered beneficiary.
-
Review
The Welfare Officer checks eligibility, beneficiary records and contribution status.
-
Decision
Every welfare disbursement is approved by the Executive Committee.
-
Support
Approved assistance is paid from the Association's account with two authorised signatories.
The welfare benefit
The amount of the welfare benefit is being confirmed by the Executive Committee and will be published here once agreed.
Who is covered
Members and their registered beneficiaries: spouse, children, parents and legal dependents. Beneficiary changes must be submitted in writing — members do this through the portal.
Arrears
Members owing AUD 150 or more cannot benefit unless an approved payment plan already exists. Arrears cannot be cleared after an incident to qualify.
Emergency top‑ups
When a member or beneficiary passes away, or a major emergency occurs, every member contributes a mandatory top‑up. The Executive Committee announces each call and its amount, and it appears in your portal as a contribution due.
Accountable by design
Welfare funds are held in an account in the Association's name, never used for anyone's personal benefit, reported to members at the AGM, and audited every year.
